Spacious Community Studio
The Akhtar Association aims to transform a former nuclear shelter into a creative space.
This venue will be equipped with a bathroom, a kitchenette, a changing room/lounge, and a large hall with mirrors and a dance-friendly floor.
The design has been created free of charge by architect Xavier de Cocatrix.
This ambitious project is led by volunteers and friends of the Akhtar Association. To bring it to life, donations are essential.
Once completed, this 90m² space in the heart of Geneva will welcome groups of artists who can use it to develop future creative projects.
Guided by an experienced dance therapist specializing in oriental movement and oncological support, our program provides a gentle and refined experience, allowing you to reconnect with yourself.
Through dance therapy rooted in oriental dance, the project aims to contribute to physical, emotional, and mental well-being, fostering a sense of inner peace.
Participation is entirely voluntary and anonymous. Elegantia's primary goal is to support a healing process with respect and kindness.
